Punkin' Patch

During the mid 1980's, McCoy Limited produced a wide assortment of holiday pieces called the "Punkin' Patch".  Although these pieces were produced in very limited quantities, their popularity with collectors has not yet gained the same momentum seen with the earlier pieces.   That's actually a good thing.....if you collect these lovely pieces.  Finding them is not nearly as easy as finding some of the more common McCoy.

Although some were marked "McCoy Ltd.," not all have a clearly visible mark.  Many potteries in Zanesville today are creating some very similar examples of these pieces, which can cause confusion if you have not SEEN the real McCoy.  If you are new to collecting, be sure to watch the shape of the mouth and eyes on pieces that are unmarked, and compare them to the pieces below.

Billie and Nelson have provided The McCoy Pottery Collectors Connection with a copy of this original catalog brochure of the "Punkin' Patch" to help collectors identify their pieces.  Please note this catalog sheet does NOT show all Halloween items that were offered.
