15TH Annual McCoy Lovers Reunion – 2002

McCoy Lovers Private Auction – 2002
Rules & Guidelines

The McCoy Lovers Private Auction for 2002 will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2002 in conjunction with the McCoy Lovers Mixer at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 275 Sunrise Center Rd (Rte 40), Zanesville, Ohio. Jeff Koehler of Koehler Auctions in Roseville, Ohio has graciously donated his time as auctioneer to help make this another great evening with wonderful McCoy pieces up for sale! The auction is open to all registered for the McCoy Lovers Reunion.

Any registered member wishing to sell McCoy pieces at the auction should review these guidelines and complete an Auction Item Description Form for each item being consigned. A sheet will be available in your registration packet which provides space for (2) items . If you should have more than (2) items, additional forms will be available at the reunion registration desk and at the auction check-in on Tuesday afternoon.

Items must be from the Nelson McCoy Pottery Company or Brush-McCoy Pottery to be eligible for the auction. The auction committee will review all entries. No limit is set as to the number of items that can be entered by any member. However, the Auction Committee and Event Coordinator reserve the right to limit individual and overall participation if necessary to maintain the expected time frame for the auction.

The Auction Committee will charge a consignment fee per item with no commission on the actual sale of an item. The fee is due at the time of registration of the item. Members of the committee will be available to register items and receive the consignment fees on that Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 to 3:00PM at the Knights of Columbus. If possible, please fill out your Auction Item Description Form prior to item registration.

When registering, please do not leave items unattended until they have been registered by a member of the Auction Committee. Items may be consigned with or without a reserve price. The consignment fee, which is non-refundable, will be charged at the time of item registration as follows:

$5.00 per item with no reserve.
$8.00 per item with a reserve under $100.
$10.00 per item with a reserve of $100 – $200.
$15.00 per item with a reserve of over $200.

The consignment fee may be paid by cash or check payable to: The McCoy Lovers Reunion

The Knights of Columbus will open for the Mixer (food, fun and mingling with collectors) and viewing of the auction items at 5:30PM. The live auction will begin at 7:00PM and is estimated to run about 2 hours.

Any reserve prices will remain private and known only by the seller, the Auction Committee and the auctioneer. Payment for the purchase of an item is to occur only at the completion of the entire live auction. This is a direct transaction between the buyer and the seller. The Auction Committee will record all successful bids to assist the bidders and sellers in maintaining the accuracy of the transaction. Please remember that all sales are final. Changes or additions to these guidelines will only be made if extraordinary circumstances warrant them and will be announced prior to starting the auction.

Thank you for your assistance and have a great time at the auction!!
